A professional land surveyor, Jill was the first woman commissioned as a land surveyor in the province of Saskatchewan after studying Urban and Rural Planning Technology at Holland College and Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering at the University of New Brunswick.
A former member of Stratford Council, Jill chaired the Planning, Heritage and Development and the Community Campus Committees and was Vice Chair of the Finance Committee. Jill is Co-Chair of the Stratford High School Planning and Construction Committee and Chair of SHAPE Stratford, a CMHC initiative to advance affordable housing opportunities in Stratford.
Jill was elected as the MLA for District 6, Stratford-Keppoch, on April 3rd, 2023 and serves as the Minister of Finance.
Originally from Souris, Jill is a proud Islander happy to now call Stratford home, along with her husband Brian and their children, Lucy and Jack.
